The power of Meditation
I was not really able to find two exercises that I found as beneficial as I did one.I feel that the most beneficial practice for me was the
meditation because it allowed me to completely relax and forget about my daily stressors
that I am faced with. I feel that I can
use mediation to foster a higher level of mental fitness in my life by using it
in situation that cause me anxiety and discomfort and I can also teach my
family ways to foster mental fitness by using some of the same meditation
techniques that I gained from taking this course.

Greater health and wellness
Meditation has really fostered a high increase in my psychological and spiritual wellness because it allows me to stop, relax, and refocus on the things in my life that I feel are of importance to me. Meditation gives me the ability to control my breathing while at the same time giving me a better control of the spiritual aspect of my life. I feel that having a better control on the spiritual aspect of my life gives me an advantage on the psychological and ultimately the physical parts of my personal well being.
I feel that the saying "One cannot lead another where one has not gone himself" is a very true statement. As a healthcare professional how can I lead a patient to the path of better wellness if I don’t live by those same rules myself? I cannot tell a person to do something that I wouldn’t do that is kind of a hypocrite and I cannot live my life as a hypocrite.

Unit 6 exercise
My
initial reaction to this exercise was that it would not be useful to me. But
after the first couple of minutes I started to enjoy it. It caused me to reflect
back on a situation I had with a family member. It did not resolve the problem
in any way but after this exercise I felt a sense of calmness. It affected me
in a manner that I called that family member and apologized for my role in it.
I feel that hatred is a feeling that takes so much out of you and can really
wear on a person’s subconscious mind this exercise has brought me to a new sense
of compassion for the people I deal with and I recommend it to my family.

Spiritual Wellness
I only saw a very few similarities when I compared the
loving kindness exercise and the subtle mind exercise I felt the breathing techniques were similar but
the subtle mind exercise seemed as if it were less complicated. The subtle mind
exercise allowed me to relax but it was way to long for me.
The connection of spiritual wellness to mental and physical
wellness is very true for me because I feel that if you are connected spiritually
then the mind and body will follow. I feel this is true to me because I am a spiritual
person and I feel that the rest on my body is in connection with that.
